We got our hands on the brand new Hippie Pipe X, the successor of the popular Hippie Pipe.
We love manual vapes here at VapeFuse and had a very good experience using the Hippie Pipe and other products from Hippie Vaporizers.
What's changed in the new X?
Looking at the new Hippie Pipe X, it looks quite similar to the Hippie Pipe. The stainless steel mouthpiece, carbon ring, and wooden handle are the same. The chamber however has been redesigned, including the way it is heated.
The herb chamber on the Hippie Pipe X is 30% larger and the heat indicator is gone. Instead, the bottom of the herb chamber has an X cut out where you point the lighter to heat.
The chamber on the Hippie X has a flat end with air intake holes, instead of the dome heating element that the Hippie Pipe has.
How to use the Hippie Pipe X?
Using the New Pipe X is even easier than the original as you don't have to monitor the heat indicator window on the chamber.
Heating Technique
The heating technique has changed compared to the original Hippie Pipe.
You simply point a jet lighter (ideally a double jet if you have one) to the X cut out on the bottom of the chamber and heat it as you inhale.
How long do you heat the chamber?
We could not find any information about how long the chamber needs to be heated, but I just tend to heat it just about as long as I inhale using the Hippie Double flame jet lighter.
For reheating you may need less time as the chamber is already hot.
Vapor Quality
The vapor quality is as good as it gets. Very clean and flavorful vapor as you'd expect from a manual vape with a full stainless steel chamber and vapor path.
Conclusion
We really enjoy using the Hippie Pipe X and would be happy to recommend it to anyone in our community. It is a great analog vaporizer and will last you a long time to come.
